Housewives all over the country let out a universal sob at the television screen as their worst fear became a reality. Yes, Jon and Kate Gosselin would be ending their ten year harmonious marriage with a divorce. Even though their every movement had been tracked by the paparazzi and documented on TLC’s “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” no one ever expected their relationship to come to a screeching halt. They always seemed so blissfully happy, as Kate lovingly and kindly would give Jon barking orders, and her husband generously would offer 23 year old college students late night “tutoring lessons” to help with studies. Yes, they really were the ideal couple.

Director Tim Burton has an innate talent in “creepifying” children’s bedtime stories. He’s also got a knack for showcasing his two favorite obsessions/actors, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, along with their equally creepy dramatic skills. His newest project - a new spin on Lewis Carrolls’ Alice in Wonderland, set to release March 5, 2010 - is no exception.

Even though the release date is still almost a year away, the anticipation for the film peaked today as more shots from the movie were leaked online.

It was a dark and stormy night in Toronto and in the life of rumor monger and new media mogul Perez Hilton. The gossip queen, whose tremendous wit reaches its height when drawing penises on the faces of photos of celebrities, was met with a cruel form of un-ironic comeuppance when someone struck him with something other than a scribbled phallus. The whole thing allegedly “got started (retarded)” when Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am told the saboteur of Miss California’s pageant dreams to not write about his band on his infamous site. This request was apparently followed by a bit of an alleged drubbing at the hand (or fists) of the band’s manager Polo Molina.

It used to be that whenever we had the urge to see a trashy Long Island native posing shirtless via a camera phone photo they took of themselves in the mirror, we would just go to Myspace and do a search for the name Joey or Amber. But the “place for friends” is no longer the only site to catch a glimpse of those desperate for sexy time approval.

Megan Fox is hot. Like, seriously guys, she is sooooo hot! She’s been all over the world this week supporting the release of Transformers 2, and honestly this is hotter than doing a striptease at a USO Show in Hanoi. Prominent gossip rags have literally covered her hotness on a daily basis, and frequenters of the social web have made her hotness a trending topic for the greater part of the impeding Iran Revolution. I don’t think any celebrity has achieved that before.

This is kinda funny, because something else this sexpot has solely achieved is managed to appear incredibly attractive to males, yet only moderately attractive to females.

It was deja vu all over again - in the tradition of Star Wars, yet another perfectly classic trilogy ruined by the desire to see characters we know and love gross $100 million in an opening weekend. Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Horribly Inane Plot Involving Aliens may have sullied the image of our favorite whip-cracking, wisecracking, Nazi-battling adventurer last summer, but not enough to make us forget the good times we shared in his first three films. The closing credits of last summer’s atrocity left us relieved that perhaps Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Lucas would never attempt to add another chapter, while graciously closing the book on the archaeological career of one Henry Jones Jr. Now we’re hearing whispers that this is not necessarily the case.

World, stop holding your collective breath - your favorite Briton with “talent” that isn’t a diverse dance squad is back in the spotlight.

After a brief bout with the temporary form of insanity - otherwise known as exhaustion - that kept her off stage for two shows in Manchester, Susan Boyle wowed an audience of 6,000 (apparently easily wowed) Scots by singing those two lame showtunes she sang on “Britain’s Got Talent” as part of the show’s tour.  The boisterous crowd of highlanders delighted in SuBo’s (yes, they’re calling her SuBo now. Isn’t that creative?) renditions of “Memory” and “I Dreamed A Dream” with spontaneous applause, as if no one on the traveling tour of “Cats” or “Les Miserables” had ever performed them any better.  Boyle’s future in the industry is burning bright, but will look even brighter once she learns a few more songs and does a hot collabo with T-Pain and Usher.

Fanboys and girls everywhere breathed a sigh of apathy today as rumors circulating about Kirsten Dunst’s involvement in the fourth installment of Spiderman were confirmed: she’s in.

The snaggly-toothed former child star was, admittedly, not much of a holdout for Spiderman 4—which is slated for a 2011 release—seeing as her career has been relatively quiet since the no-longer-a-trilogy was completed in ‘07.
