Sunday evening most of the United States had their eyes glued to the television, hoping to bear witness to some of the more exciting moments ever broadcast. While the game was largely a snooze up until the fourth quarter, and despite the fact that not everyone had their 3-D glasses on, the commercials did manage to pick up some of the slack. Here’s a list of our top three favorite Super Bowl ads from last night.
We’re all for animal rights, but an erudite koala being punched in the face while drinking his morning coffee certainly sent us over the top with laughter. Suck on that, PETA.
2. Denny’s:
We weren’t sure where this Mafia-themed ad was going before the reddi-whip wielding waitress stepped into the picture. Here’s hoping she didn’t get whacked in the end.
3. Hulu:
Hulu combines two of our favorite things: watching our favorite TV shows for free and Alec Baldwin, who we’ve had a soft spot for ever since he first stepped on stage to host SNL some time ago. The tradition continues with this ad which also gets points for the best slogan “An Evil Plot To Destroy The World. Enjoy” Thanks, we will.
