If you lost any sleep over the past few days, odds are it wasn’t over that horrifically mean thing you said to your bed-ridden grandmother. Thanks to daylight saving time, people all across the country - nay, the world - felt the cruel hand of father time yank away a precious hour of their life just so it would make more sense when it gets light later or whatever.
Well, today you have the opportunity to fight back by staging a bit of a nap-in. Since 1999, the day after daylight savings has been designated National Napping Day. That means if you find yourself getting sleepy at work, whether you’re driving a city bus or typing a blog post for OneRiot, it’s perfectly okay to put your head down for an hour. If your boss catches you dozing, all you have to do is point at the calendar. Unfortunately, National Napping Day is not a widely accepted holiday and your complacency just may get you fired…but hey, that just means more naptime.
