Housewives all over the country let out a universal sob at the television screen as their worst fear became a reality. Yes, Jon and Kate Gosselin would be ending their ten year harmonious marriage with a divorce. Even though their every movement had been tracked by the paparazzi and documented on TLC’s “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” no one ever expected their relationship to come to a screeching halt. They always seemed so blissfully happy, as Kate lovingly and kindly would give Jon barking orders, and her husband generously would offer 23 year old college students late night “tutoring lessons” to help with studies. Yes, they really were the ideal couple.
While their marriage may be on the fritz, while making their shocking announcement on TLC last night both parents promised to prioritize their children. The sextuplets and twins will live in their current house full time, and Jon and Kate will alternate living there during their scheduled parenting-time.
During the one hour special, Jon had these words to say: “Kate and I have decided to separate, It’s just not good for us to be arguing in front of our kids…I was too passive. I just let her rule the roost and do whatever she wanted, now I finally stood up on my own two feet, and I’m proud of myself.”
Even though their union is over, don’t start hyperventilating into a paper bag yet. Both parents have promised that “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ will continue on TLC. Instead of trying to fix your marriage, or handle divorce privately, it’s much easier to put it on the national stage and rake in the dough. Spencer and Heidi would be proud.
Kate Been watching your show since the very first episode, so sorry bout the divorce, But obviously Jon has not reached maturity yet . yes he loves his kids, but theres so much more to raising healthy(mentally and physically)children. Kate I believe that there is nothing fake about you, I believe that you truely want whats best for those children,I like to see some of these so called mothers take care of eight chilren, you stepped up to the plate, got a system and gave and still giving it your all.I think your doing great!
