While frog legs may be a delicacy in France, here in the good ol’ USA we prefer to keep amphibian extremities out of our meals, and especially out of our soft drinks. Unfortunately, a Florida man was in for more than a can of caffeine and carbonation when he popped the top of a can of Pepsi.
Fred DeNegri took a refreshing gulp, but in the process swallowed more than he bargained for. He immediately started to gag, knowing there was something very very wrong with his Sam’s Club value buy. He and his wife poured out the soda, and along with it came out “pink linguini and dark stuff.” Upon further investigation, it was determined by the FDA that it was either a frog or toad that was “lacking internal organs normally found in the abdominal and thoracic cavity.”
The Pepsi plant in Orlando was examined in an investigation, but there has been no determination on how the toad ended up being bottled and liquefied. The couple is seeking further legal action, but in the meantime, I think it’s safe to say Coke just got two new patrons.
