It’s nothing short of an epidemic: Americans not getting enough food to feed their bellies. When even the slightest failure to achieve this goal takes place, it becomes necessary to designate the situation a food emergency. And when most Americans experience an emergency, they do the only thing that makes sense - they dial 9-1-1.
Following the brave example set by the woman who several weeks ago dialed the lifeline after not getting the McNuggets she so desired from McDonald’s, a Haltom City, Texas woman dialed the three dire digits to correct the injustice of not receiving enough shrimp in her not so aptly named “shrimp fried rice.” The woman had been denied a refund after returning to the restaurant complaining about the unsatisfactory amount of sumptuous shellfish in her dish. Cook June Lee maintained that there was nothing wrong with the meal and that sometimes you just can’t satisfy everyone. When the police arrived to address the issue, she who had been wronged left the scene empty extra-shrimp handed. Crisis averted. 9-1-1 emergency services, properly handling your food emergencies since 2009!
